Suggested Itinerary:-

DAY 1: Kolkata/Delhi- Guwahati- Balipara (Wild Mahseer)(220kms/ 4.5 hours drive). Arrive at Guwahati Airport and you will be transferred to Balipara. Wild Mahseer is located on the north bank of River Brahmaputra, a heritage tea bungalow established by the British Assam Tea Company in 1864 is named after the toughest game fish in the world. On arrival, you will be greeted by the charming hosts. Enjoy a relaxed evening. Overnight Stay.

DAY 2: Balipara. After breakfast, you will set off for a Tea Tour. Walk along the tea gardens and watch the process of tea plucking by the tea garden workers and then visit the factory to understand the different process and methods of tea processing, learning mainly about the CTC (Crush, Tear and Curl) tea of Assam.  After lunch, take a walk through a local village. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 3: Balipara. After breakfast, go for bird watching trailed by river rafting on River Jia Bhoreli. Lunch at the bungalow. After lunch, visit the tea factory to observe manufacture followed by tea tasting. Have a relaxed evening. Overnight stay.

DAY 4: Balipara- Kaziranga (110kms/ 3 hours drive). After breakfast, leave for Kaziranga. On arrival, either you could relax or go for a short hike to a local village. Have a restful evening. Overnight stay.

DAY 5: Kaziranga. Enjoy an early morning elephant ride. After breakfast, enjoy a jeep safari.  After lunch, visit a local village to explore around. Be entertained by some local music and dance in the evening. Overnight stay.

DAY 6: Kaziranga- Jorhat (100kms/ 3 hours drive). After a leisury breakfast, check out from the hotel. Visit Ms. Roopjyoti’s cottage industry that teaches the local women the art of weaving, embroidery and designing in her courtyard. Roopjyoti, a successful rural entrepreneur is not only earning for herself but ensuring more rural women become self reliant. Thereafter, drive to Jorhat. En-route, visit an organic farm and enjoy a scrumptious local meal for lunch with the owners of the farm who are native to the place. Check in to a Tea Bungalow in Jorhat and have a relaxed evening. Overnight stay.

DAY 7: Jorhat. Today after breakfast, visit the Tocklai Research Association (TRA). The formation of the Tea Research Association (TRA) in 1964 with Tocklai at the centre of all activities further expanded the horizon of tea research to cover the entire Northeast India. Research on all aspects of tea cultivation and processing is carried out at Tocklai Experimental station. After lunch either relax in the tea Bungalow or visit the Kaziranga Golf Course for a game of golf.

DAY 8: Jorhat- Kolkata/ Delhi. Today after breakfast, drive to Jorhat Airport for your onward journey.
